I have to get an extra even though they know you don't need one
I was thankful I was able to get my dog in the same day I called because he was sick. The staff was friendly and the wait to see the Dr was only about 10 minutes. The new facility is nice, modern and clean. BUT, the cost of services definitely reflects the new branding and facility. I understand inflation and rising costs but there were things that were outrageous. $30 for a nail trim when the dog is already there for an illness? This was the most genuine veterinary visit I’ve ever experienced at River Animal Hospital. The vet truly listened, cared, and quickly identified what was going on with my dog. They got him started on medication right away and explained everything clearly, which gave me so much peace of mind. They also made the thoughtful decision to safely sedate him to trim his nails, and they did an amazing job. The entire team handled him with patience and compassion. I can't say enough good things about this place after my appointment today. We just offered to take two senior cats and a third who's young but very anxious. Trying to get them all crated and in the car was absolute chaos this morning. I called to let them know I was running behind and they were so understanding. After arriving, I got in promptly.
