Absolutely terrible experience with this entire establishment. My therapist Michael was mostly condescending, and more interested in hearing himself talk than actually listening to my concerns and issues. After nearly a year of ending services with GPMH, they blame their billing systems for separate balances and send you to collections without ever informing you despite the fact you've been paying your bill on time, for the entirety of your service. Beautiful facility with warm, caring providers - both the nurse practitioners and the counselors! The wait might be a while to get in, but it's worth it! Super cool that they incorporate complementary therapies like yoga and are now even offering groups for socialization! So important! Love this place.
Had a friend call before their appointment time to say they were going to be a little late due to a traffic jam caused by an accident, they said oh well, if you cant make it by 815 your cancelled. No wonder the mental health system is so messed up. I get if their late they may have to wait longer till a spot opens up but to cancel someone for something out of their control who has been waiting ti be seen for 2 months is unacceptable. Again this is a prime example of why the mental health system is so broken
