Did my mortgage through here and the people were very nice. It was a recommendation from my realtor who suggested using a local bank branch instead of a national bank. However, before even the first payment was made, they sold the mortgage to PennyMac so I should’ve just shopped around for mortgage rates instead of trying to do business locally. Best bank, great staff, and I love their easy to use app. I like the fact I can control charges to my debit card, set amounts allowed, what the card can be used for, location areas for use, set up separate alerts, freeze it, or cancel it, all from their app. They also have some of the best interest rates on their accounts.
DO NOT BANK HERE. They DO NOT care about their customers whatsoever. Horrible customer service. No overdraft or fraud protection. We had multiple occasions of fraudulent activity and they refused to take any action to remedy the situation. After we left the city they would not allow us to close our account without coming in person. Somebody stole our info and without telling us Great Plains tacked on HUNDREDS of dollars of overdraft fees and REFUSED to budge on it because we have not kept money on the account for the past 2 ... read more
We recently switched banks and it was a tough decision but it was the absolute best decision we have made. Everyone at the Stillwater branch has been welcoming, small town values with an amazing financial solution for personal and small businesses. We appreciate the entire staff but Aaron, Sam and JP have been incredible. You can't beat the atmosphere and the amazing staff they have!
