These cabinets were very nice when installed. In less than a year, the finish started wearing off. A few years later and the door inserts look terrible. The warranty is fairly useless. Great Northern has blown off any responsibility and hasn't even bothered to offer a solution. These things are not durable at all. Look elsewhere if you plan to actually use your kitchen. At some point soon, I'm going to need to find someone to replace all of the doors and drawer fronts because they look terrible.
Great Northern Cabinetry did a really shoddy job on our cabinets and completely ignored us when tried to get into touch with them. I sent the presidents of the company four emails and left four voicemails, and they refused to even acknowledge receipt of the messages. Worst, most disdainful customer service experience I've ever experienced.
WE bought our kitchen cabinets from Northern Kitchens in 1978, almost 40 years ago, and they are still like new. We never have had to refinish any of them. the finish is wonderful...the color was modern walnut. The only thing wrong is some of the springs popped out of the self closing hinges. We recommend these cabinets to anyone looking for superior quality. The designers were so helpful, and the price of our cupboards was very reasonable as well. Thank you Northern Kitchens.
