My examiner was John. Very professional and informative on the steps and instructions of the test. Truck was well maintained and clean. Testing sight was very well kept and organized. Passed my CDL test first try in a manual after months a hard word. You get out what you put in from your training and dedication not who’s testing you or where you take the test. Would take my test at Great Lakes again. 5 Stars.
I tested twice with John, and as many other reviews on here have stated, he has no business being a test giver. The man is rude, passive aggressive, completely unprofessional and on top of that he apparently can't drive a truck. I lost points for grinding gears a few times, he jumped in the driver seat and was grinding the same gears left and right. Avoid this place.
Am trying take CDL axam but alot people complaining i should look another place alot negative here Comments
I went to take my exam the 2nd time Monday and i had an instructor named john(orange) out the gate guy had a passive aggressive attitude when i was asking questions very unprofessional he was slurred when talking to me which made me believe he had to be under some kind of influence. He started shouting and yelling at me when i was on the road about a vehicle that came onto my lane and said i some how made the vehicle slow down so it was an automatic fail. When we got back to the yard he started getting more aggressive yellin... read more

I went back to learn what all I did wrong. They only said not double clutching. I went back and they took my cell phone. I’m guessing that they were scared that I’d record them. They didn’t do that the first test. The second test took nearly an hour. He kept trying to keep me driving in order to find something wrong. Once again they w... read more
