Dr. Sugarman has been my doctor for 6 years, and I am extremely pleased with the care he has provided. I like that he is conservative about ordering tests whenever I describe a symptom. Instead, he offers other options first to get at what's going on. If he doesn't think I have anything to worry about, he says so emphatically; and that provides a lot of relief. I think he is an excellent diagnostician. So far he's batting 1,000. He has an adequate bedside manner, and he has a good sense of humor. I never put off making appoi... read more

He was rude when he asked my medical history. When he asked me if I get exercise and I said that I take walks, he said that walking isn't exercise. He told me that I should get a tetanus shot, I asked him why the urgency and what was the cost? He didn't seem too happy to provide me an answer and felt that cost was not a good reason to delay the shot. He was very rude to me and is the worst Dr that I have ever been to to see. I changed Doctors.

Awful place to establish care at. During my physical I brought up that I have asthma (which I have had since I was born) and that triggered them to code my visit as standard appointment and not just a yearly physical. This caused insurance to charge me. I spoke for months with people from the office about this and they insisted this is their standard billing practice. This is 100% a money grab. I do not trust this office.

Dr. Sugarman was willing to see me on short notice and was helpful in diagnosing and treating a chronic disease. He was courteous, knowledgeable and personable. Without his help I would not have been able to conceive a healthy child. After I began my medication, my symptoms improved, drastically improving my quality of life, and my husband and I were able to have a healthy baby.

Dr Sugarman is ok I have been seeing Dr. Sugarman for a few years now and he just seems ok. Every time I see him he keeps the visits short and rarely does anything about what I see him for. He seems mostly disinterested.

Amendment after seeing another doctor: It turns out Dr Sugarman gave me incorrect information and told me there was no generic equivalent for Viagra although Sam's Club had it on their list under their Plus membership pricing program. When faced with this information, he told me that the drug was in the form of an injection instead of a tablet. It turns out that wasn't true. In addition, my new doctor had no problem writing out the three prescriptions in the way I needed to get discount pricing

Does not prescribe narcotics if you are in chronic pain and therapy can't completely take care of. Will not change prescriptions to a different size pill and quantity so you can take advantage of prescription discounts at wholesale clubs. Usually a nice guy, but in this case he condescendingly told me he doesn't determine drug prices and that he doubted the prices were that different. The prescriptions were otherwise prohibitively expensive. Good doctor, but a bit too technical.

Dr. Sugarman was on call this weekend and I had a very simple request for an x-ray script. It took me the first couple minutes of the phone call to figure out if I was actually talking to a doctor, or if someone was pranking me. After the 5 minute phone call, I am floored at how rude Dr. Sugarman was. He was very intentionally rude; making it sound like I was an idiot for calling the doctor for help. I may have been na?ve to call, but I've never broken my hand before. Unbelievable! Never again.
