Non profit electric provider with higher prices than for profit companies. No averaging. No options.
So the PUC says that a co-op can opt IN for competition - which means GCEC is refusing to allow the same level of market driven accountability to its customers as the rest of the state is allowed! It is definitely time to change things.
A Big thank you to Grayson Collin Electric Company for quick service. We called a few mins after 8 with no electricity and they were here and had it fixed by 8:35!! Thanks for taking care of us.
We are very impressed with the emergency response after hours. We had a very large tree fall on our barn and power pole. It pulled the wire down and cut all of our power at 7:15pm. We were outside and saw this happen and immediately called GCEC. The first guy from GCEC showed up within 10 minutes of the call and the rest of the crew was there about 10 minutes later. Everyone was very professional and fast. They had our power turned back on in less than an hour of my call reporting the outage.
We had excellent service tonight when our home lost power just at dinner time. Within an hour the crew was here and the problem solved. The men were friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient in their work. I was impressed with their service-oriented attitudes overall professionalism. Thanks very much Grayson Collin Electric. We're very glad to be your customers!
