Absolutely the worst apartment complex in Winston Salem. If I could give it 0 stars I would. This place has rats roaches and god knows what other kinds of rodents. I also lost an insane amount of furniture and clothing from a constant leak my apartment had for 10 months straight. No matter what I said to them they never cared and never fixed the leak until one month before I moved out. This place doesn’t care about their residents in any way shape or form. As a former 7 year resident, I highly recommend Gray Court Apartments. It truly was one of the most charming, cozy, and special places I've ever lived. The apartments have a ton of character (wood floors, high ceilings, phone nooks, big windows creating allowing lots of light throughout, surprisingly huge closets, lovely built-in cabinets, etc.) that is rare to find and that has been maintained meticulously. A wonderful place to live in downtown Winston Salem. Kind people all around. Prompt response from the property staff. Beautiful dwelling. Absolutely would recommend to anyone looking to live downtown
I lived at Gray Court Apts. from 1992-2022. Initially it was a great place to live until the owner sold it to a corporation. The rent was very reasonable and common areas were kept neat and clean. Hardwood oak floors and large walk-in closets were wonderful features. The corporation raised the rent several times and when I moved, I was paying 3 times what I paid when I moved in. My radiators could not be controlled and the heat actually caused the plaster wall behind them to turn to powder exposing the structural brick. The ... read more
