The lodge offers beautiful views, very peaceful. The room was cute and comfortable. The woman that checked us in was a peach. Things went downhill at dinner. We order the hamburger "medium" but it came back too pink, even red in parts. The cook came out, extremely rude, and proceeded to tell us next time order medium well. No acknowledgement of us not being happy with the food. We should have ordered it medium well, but the treatment was very unprofessional. We had the opportunity to be guests here for an extended weekend during the apple festival. We met so many great people and vendors. There are countless activites to enjoy here. You can engage and be as active as you'd like or you can enjoy the serene surrounds of nature and the peace it brings to your soul. We had a very nice stay for a long weekend to hike some fall trails in Shenandoah. We went to a nice trail with waterfalls that was 15 minutes from the lodge. On Saturday night we had the buffet and listened to some wonderful bluegrass music. We also went to the apple festival which also had music and kid bouncy houses. My son very much enjoyed our stay and played ball with some other kids. He also enjoyed the ping pong table.
