A small family flavored business where you can make friends or get it and go. Prices are reasonable. Before you try Amazon for that weird part, try Burhill. Military friendly.

I’ve lived in New Glarus for 25 years. I recently retired so now have a lot of “at home projects”. It WAS nice to have a Hardware store that was close and convenient. In fact I bet I’ve been there a half dozen times in the past month. Today I went and rented a Carpet Cleaner. Got there about 1:45 and told them I’d like to rent one. I was asked if I wanted it for 24 hours and I said no just the afternoon. I asked what time they closed and was told it needed to be back by 7:00. Terrible customer service! I was told top step down to the next counter and he would be right with me. Five people that came in behind me and were assisted while I watched and waited. When he started to assist the 5th person. I left the store. I probably won't return to that hardware store.
