Dr Whittaker was my Doctor of choice when we moved from SW FL to NE FL. I am a 3x cancer survivor so I searched for every type of specialist available. I have been going to Dr Grant Whitaker for about 5 years, and I am so happy I finally found a GI that listens and helps! I had gone through a few GIs before finding Dr. Whitaker. I've had issues with Crohns for over 20 years, and he is the first GI that has listened to my concerns and made me feel like my concerns mattered. He is extremely proactive. Saw Dr Whitaker for a colonoscopy (my first) at Baptist Nassau. He had several ahead of mine since mine was scheduled for 12:00. I saw them on the schedule board in the waiting area when I arrived. I went through the vital checks & setup & got my IV. He politely & professionally came into my room & introduced himself & asked if I had any questions and was very courteous, as if I was the first patient of the day. Horrendous bedside manner. Has no suggestions for treatment. Def not proactive. I had the same GI 15y. NP at all. Never did he ask me what to do or not have a plan. If you indicate to this dr you have anxiety don't even go the appt. He has no interest in helping you. No capability of working in or outside the box. I wish 0 stars was an option. Doctor Whittaker is not cut out to handle patients who are in pain. Quite frankly, he doesn’t care. I even had to go to the ER because of a mistake he made, and he still didn’t try to help. If you care about your health, go find a competent doctor.
