About this business

What is Rolfing structural integration? Rolfing structural integration is a hands-on method that employs slow, sustained pressure with the goal to release habituated patterns that cause tension and pain. Through a series of sessions, you will learn how to let go of restrictive patterns and relate to your body’s sensations differently while appreciating the subtleties. I don’t usually leave online reviews, but when I do it’s because my experience was noteworthy. Otherwise, who’s got the time… right? First of all I am not a “massage guy”. I don’t even like being touched by other people. Eew as the kids say! (I see where I have more work to do!) Anyway, I chose Rolfing after doing some research on somatic therapy modalities—BTW by research I mean TikTok. But after meeting with Grant for the initial consultation I decided to give it a try —worst thing that can happen is I get a massage and (S... read more

After having a not great first Rolfing experience, I was very grateful to have Grant come up in my search. He is kind and professional with an educational approach to his practice. Along with the excellent service, the space itself is clean and inviting. I was able to experience great bodywork in a relaxing environment and given information that I can apply daily for better functional use of this body. Highly recommended.

An overdue review. Grant is a gem to work with. Personable, skilled, thoughtful in treatment modality and application, and long on practicalities whilst short on mumbo jumbo. He was a good fit for my physical needs, my psychic sensibilities, and the importance to me of a solid interpersonal experience given the context. (Based on a fair sample size: Did a single therapeutic session to see if we jived, then completed a 10 session rolfing protocol.)

If you are a bit skeptical and unsure what rolfing is, I was too. But I think another way to think of him is as a bodyworker - an incredibly skilled one. I worked with him over 10 session, and he also incorporated PRT (Pain Reprocessing Therapy). I'm someone who has felt disassociated from my body for most of my life, and after only a few sessions in, I felt engaged in my own body, and energetic. My posture changed, and I feel that talking with Grant also changed my relationship to my own body. I can't recommend Grant enough... read more
