Wonderful time in early August at this resort. Lukas at the cedar point lodge is an outstanding hard worker. Very personable and had some good recommendations for us. Him and the chef (sorry forgot his name) recommended a Mexican spot in Kings Beach and it was delicious! But, not as delicious as the food at the lodge at the resort. I came to write this review to acknowledge the food service - breakfast was what we looked forward to everyday. And dinner did not disappoint!
Granlibakken was our wedding venue this last July, and we truly appreciated their entire team. To start, their wedding coordinator Karina was an absolute pleasure to work with and helped us put together the wedding of our dreams, going above and beyond for the weekend. The property itself is a gorgeous, old Tahoe style venue nestled in the trees, with a short car ride to the lake. Don’t even get us started about the food! Beautiful grounds super close to Tahoe City. We were able to ride our bikes all over North Lake Tahoe with Granlibakken as our home base. Breakfast buffet was pretty good and varied from day to day, but the coffee was not great (and I am no coffee snob!). Our room did not have AC and became extremely stuffy, even with overnight lows in the low 60s. Thankfully, there was a box fan in the room, but we still struggled to create circulation with a single window.
