I understand there are procedures on things when it comes to things in the kitchen. For someone that doesn’t come and visit their grandparents often and walked in to the kitchen area just to grab something real quick such as cutleries, I don’t think I should be talked to in a way where I just ruin everything you have clean. My grandmother had stayed there for a long time and passed away in 2019. She was always in her room, was not repositioned which resulted in pressure sores on her coccyx. Also, she had skin issues due to not being changed enough due to incontinence. Staff was quite rough with her when transferring her to bed and or wheelchair. My father was at Granite Ridge for the final years of his life, and the care he experienced was all we could have hoped for and more. Most importantly, he was happy! The staff is professional, caring, and just plain wonderful! My father has passed, and on occasion, I visit someone at Granite Ridge that I came to know while visiting Dad, and the care received by the residents is still top notch! Sincere thanks to all members of the staff- your tasks are many, but they are carried out with love and compassion.
