I stayed here in the summer of 2022 and it was beautiful! The cabin was cozy and well equipped. Staff attended to our needs. It was a beautiful, secluded spot with some of the most beautiful scenery on earth!
Four of us stayed here several years ago and it was one of the best vacations of my life.The view from the lodge's large windows up on the cliff and the seating area around the fire pit out front was truly breathtaking. We watched all kinds of sea life and hung out on the beach below where we found a blow up dinghy that we were able to row out to our friend's fishing boat for a spin over to glaciers nearby. No respect for the wildlife.
One of the best outside experiences we had in our month long plus stay in Alaska. The pictures of the lodge are deceiving. They need to spend more on bringing all the cabins up to speed and keep the kayaks repaired. None of our rudders worked. All that aside, Amazing outdoor food for the soul. Levi was great & taught the grandson how to split wood & start a fire. I wish I had the overlook view available all the time. We kayaked to a small waterfall & saw jellyfish, sealions, eagles, salmon & more.
I can't speak to what others are saying regarding getting charged for things; time will tell for that. I can however speak to our experience @ GPML. It was amazing. The setting is ridculous. A nice lodge sitting 100 feet up on a cliffside overlooking Resurrection Bay. You simply can't beat the view. You have a wholly unrestricted view of the bay and mountains.
