The wait for the food was longer than we expected. The biggest problem was that we ordered 1 pound of brisket but were served only about half a pound. They didn’t tell us there wasn’t enough meat. Only after we noticed and asked about it did they admit they had served half a pound instead of what we ordered. The mashed potatoes also tasted like instant mashed potatoes, not homemade. Because they tried to give us less food than we paid for, and the food itself wasn’t very good, I can only give this place 2 out of 5 stars.

I was told how great this place was. That it was vinegar based bbq like in the Carolinas. We went and tried the bbq and chicken, collard greens, red beans and rice. The corn bread was amazing. The sweet tea was VERY amazing! The bbq was good but just ok. But, then again... I special order Doughties bbq online and have it shipped. Real North Carolina BBQ! Not sure if we will go back but it was still good. The atmosphere is very good.

Best bbq we have had out west of the Mississippi hands down. It was good, flavorful and so tasty sauce wouldn’t even be needed. Give it a try, you won’t regret it.

Great food and friendly staff. We stopped by on our way through town and had a great experience. All the BBQ we ordered was delicious, I’d also highly recommend the buttermilk pie!
