All the way from the start of the project during the design stage iterations, through to CDC approval, construction certificate, inspections and OC, the team at Granda were very helpful, patient with my many questions and always provided all the information I needed promptly. Hopelessly incompetent. Rianda Barnes approved a large 1.8m high pool deck for our neighbour that was flush against the boundary fence, causing serious privacy and security issues. The Codes SEPP Cl 3.28 (5) states “Decking around a swimming pool must not be more than 0.6m above ground level”. The house she approved also breached front, rear, and side setbacks and was substantially higher than permitted. Granda Consulting were the certifiers for the previous owner of a property I purchased last year. After speaking with Central Coast Council regarding the CDC, there was confusion about whether I could proceed with the existing approval or would need to start from scratch to install a pool.
