Went to Amanda Gifford to have a mass checked on my neck. She referred me to US to determine if it was a lymph node or a cyst to be removed stating “I don’t want to just go in there blindly”. My experience with GVH Surgery dept has been exceptional. I get extreme anxiety in medical situations, so I was in perfect hands with Erin and Dr. Gifford when I had to go in for an urgent procedure. They were professional, empathetic, and so patient, supporting me every step of the way. Megan was unbelievably helpful and was able to get me in within 3 hours of calling!! I couldn’t be more grateful for the care and support I’ve received in just a few hours.
I had a extremely difficult session with their organization. Myself and my nurse/caregiver for over one hour in the waiting room. I was there for consolation/examination of a wound area. After the one hour wait they admitted that they do have the capability/desire to transfer me from my wheelchair to examination bed. It was a terrible experience and a waste of 3 1/2 hours.

I went to Grand View ER yesterday, the day after receiving Johnson and Johnson Covid-19 vaccine. I developed a cough in the early morning hours that triggered my asthma. After trying to treat my asthma with various inhalers I have been prescribed, I finally was in serious distress and went to ER. They immediately moved me into a exam room, put me on oxygen, administered medications, ordered a nebulizer treatment, and did a number of tests.
