❌ Unsafe Product and Refusal to Help After Injury I bought a brand-new Trek FX 2 Disc from Grand River Cycle on July 3, 2025. Within a few days, the chain dropped twice during normal riding, causing me to fall and injure my knee (I have photos to prove it). When I returned the bike, the owner admitted the issue happened to him during testing, yet still refused to replace, refund, or offer a safer upgrade, even though I offered to pay the difference. I have an old bike that has a lock hanging on the frame. The key was lost 40 years ago. I still ride the bike - it works fine, just has this old lock hanging on the frame. I went to Grand River Cycle to see if they could just cut it off. They replied "we don't cut locks off bicycles. It could have been stolen. We are not saying you are a thief though". Just treating me like one. They suggested that I buy bolt cutters. Well, if I was a thief, I'm pretty sure I would have bought my own bolt cutters. Won't be buying a new bike ... read more
