The most disgusting service and possibly the rudest receptionist I’ve ever encountered. After using this practice for over 25 years and having a serious medical issue I assumed I would be bulk billed seeing I have a health care card . Very disappointing experience with Grand Prom Medical Centre. While attending an appointment for my child, I asked a brief preventive question (“am I overdue for my Pap smear?”). The interaction lasted approximately 2 minutes and involved no examination, assessment, or consultation regarding my own health. Despite this, I later received an invoice for a separate surgery consultation. I was not informed beforehand that this question would be billed as an additional consultation. I have been going to this practice for many years, they are always helpful, reception staff great, the 2 x doctors I see are both caring, and direct!! Easy to ask and be answered with warmth and understanding. Pharmacy across the road for quick script/ medication purchase
Please be aware that the doctors at this practice can charge what they like, regardless of the advertised fee structure on the Patient Information page on the practice website and the statement on the booking page that "patients over 65 with a current Pensioner Card will be charged a discounted fee." As a senior on a pensioner concession card with a couple of chronic health conditions which require frequent attention, I understood when first attending this practice in October 2024 that the doctors do not bulk bill.
