Dr. Mel and her entire team at GPE Long Island are truly the best! Working with Dr. Mel is the most seamless experience and we absolutely love her — she always goes above and beyond for us and our team. Dr. Mel is always accessible, incredibly knowledgeable, and provides the highest level of care. I highly recommend her and her team to anyone looking for quality, thoughtful, and exceptional care for their horses.
Dr. Mel and her assistant Olivia are the absolute best and one of the few I trust with my horses. I highly recommend them to everyone. They’re honest, patient & they go above and beyond for their clients. They’ve helped me countless times with all of my problem horses so so grateful for them. Dr. Nicole does all of my horses chiros, she and Lindsay are fabulous too!!
Dr. Mel is the BOMB. She saved my horse - Victorioso. Long story, but things were not going well until we found Dr. Mark & Dr. Mel. I am sooooo grateful. I don’t have the words to express my gratitude. She worked closely with my trainer Jackie… he’s in a fantastic place now. Happy boy. Scheduled a visit with Dr. Rothacker in May 2024. My new horse was exhibiting some lameness and I wanted to have him evaluated to see if we could get to the cause. The GPE team was fast to schedule my appointment and incredibly prompt. They were conscientious of additional costs and verified with me before doing or repeating any exams by our general veterinarian.
