Family Favorite I have been going to this restaurant since I was a very small child. I remember learning to read my little dog books at their tables while awaiting our food. This place has become the defining factor of "Chinese Food" for me and every other place is judged against the Grand Peking. Really, if you haven't been here then you need to come. This is the best Chinese food I have ever had and quite frankly Chinese food is my favorite.
I had lunch at the Grand Peking in Redmond today and I was pleasantly surprised. I ordered the almond chicken - fried with almond gravy and topped with almonds (they serve it both ways - stir fried and deep fried). It was a generous portion of chicken and it came with BBQ pork fried rice which consisted of brown rice with egg, diced green onion, slivered carrots and diced BBQ pork. Worst Food ever – One of the worst restaurants in the area. It is very dishonest. It uses the cheapest and half-rotten ingredients to fool customers. They use a lot of soy sauce and other flavorings to cover the unpleasant tastes. One of my friends who know the chef there told me that they buy leftover produce and meat that couldn't be sold at asian supermarkets. Best Service, Tasty Food, Great Prices... – OK, this is the first time I've written a review about a restaurant on the web, but I have to write something after reading a bad review about one of our favorite restaurants. I love the food and service at Grand Peking in Redmond. I have never found the food to be anything but fresh, flavorful, and fully satisfying. Freindly staff, good atmosphere, WORST FOOD EVER – We had left home to try a new restaurant and following the GPS's convenient route towards a Japanese restaurant named "Kikuya" we found our way. As we walked towards the restaurant the hostess for the Grand Peking opened the door for us and since we were on an adventure we appreciated the hospitality and spontaneity.
