It's a Y with plenty of opportunities for fitness. Clean facility
staff need to communicate better with customers. i called a head to make sure the pool was open swim and they said yes! i live 20 minutes away from facility, got there and they had no life guard on duty. i use swimming for physical therapy. i was very disappointed. staff was rude and doesn't care about their customers. Facility was clean and equipment looks updated.
Let me preface this by saying I have been a member of the Grand Lake YMCA for multiple years. I have always enjoyed going to the Y and found it to be a peaceful part of my day away from stress, up until recently. The staff, equipment, and leadership have always been fantastic, but the often socially inept members have made it to be a not good experience- particularly the younger crowd.
