An overall great experience. I recommend doing the grand river trip, had some challenges on the water but nothing too stressful. Pick up and drop off were well organized and staff were very knowledgeable of the route and what to watch for.
I wasn’t sure if I would be able to paddle. Grand Experiences allowed me to not only learn what I needed to know to feel confident on the water, but also gave me the opportunity to put into practice what I learned. All under the supervision of an expert. Adam was patient and encouraged us to keep going. I first met Adam and his team last year when he took over the company and was very impressed with his skill and approachable nature. I've been back this year with friends and highly recommend Grand Experiences to anyone looking for a fun day out in nature.
We had a wonderful paddle down the Grand River! The kayaks are very sturdy and stable, but not very maneuverable (i.e. they have no rudders and foot steering), but for a lovely drift down a beautiful part of Ontario, it was fine. We saw all manner of heron, bald eagles, and cormorants, the tiny little rapids were fun to ride over, and overall, the morning was very affordable and very enjoyable! The outfitters were super nice!
We had a great time! Highly suggest! Very easy to work with even when rescheduling the date!
