Absolutely beautiful fifth wheels. I have had nothing but positive experiences when dealing with their customer service at Grand Design.
We own a 2021 Grand Design Imagine 2400BH, and I genuinely wish we had known beforehand that these trailers are notorious for major issues with the Schwintek slide‑out system. After fewer than five years of ownership and without even using the trailer to its full potential, we are now facing a complete failure of the slide mechanism. We have been told the gears are skipping, which causes the slide to bind and extend unevenly. Paid over $260k for a 2026 plagued with issues. Zero quality control from the factory. I called them and they could care less. I regret buying it and wish I could get my money back. Dealer was also terrible.
Noticed the camper ended up having a crack in the side of it. Called Grand Design customer service. They said it looks like it is structural and we should be able to warranty it 5 1/2 months later I get an email saying they denied my claim due to the lack of gutter maintenance. Long story short Grand Design customer service is very poor, and they will not stand behind their products If you’re interested in any of their campers or products, I would strongly recommend to stay away.
I’m honestly astonished at the level of customer service in today’s RV industry. From the manufacturer, Grand Design, to the dealer, General RV, this has been a deeply disappointing experience. I purchased a $130,000 410TH expecting quality and accountability. Instead, I’ve dealt with repeated issues since day one. We’ve had axle problems, brake magnets replaced, trim falling off, window coverings detaching, loose balusters, and the refrigerator replaced.
