I stopped by this store a few days ago to buy a gift card as a gift, and I was surprised when the owner told me there would be an extra “charging” fee added on top of the card’s value. I’ve never been asked to pay a separate fee for a gift card before, so it immediately felt off. the people are friendly and the money that was put into the “card” was the same amount. but they put it in receipt form. like what if I want to give it to someone as a gift? I can’t just give them a receipt.
