I've always loved stopping at Grain Train when we're in the area, but the new cafe made me feel compelled to come post a review. My family full of omnivores and vegetarians just went here for lunch and it was beyond our expectations. The menu is both cozy and unintimidating for any crowd (salads and sandwiches predominantly) but also full of little innovative surprises that make it fun, like brussel sprout bacon slaw and a roasted broccoli hoagie (really! Love this place and the new cafe is absolutely amazing! The staff are so friendly and it's one of my go-to stores.
Business response:
So glad you liked it Lexi!
I have been going to this store since 80’s they have 1 time and another store in Boyle City. Always helpful and give you coin for parking yay
Boy did we enjoy our lunch there! Starting with the chocolate chip cookie samples that we just couldn’t forget! As a group we had Raspberry Lemonade and Brussel Sprout slaw. Individually we had the quiche of the day, the BLT, smoked turkey sandwich and the Rachel sandwich. (I had the Rachel and I win the prize for messiest meal but it was oh so good. Yum 😋). And then, lest we miss GTPC too much, there was cherry pie! We will definitely be back. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Business response:
So glad you enjoyed your lunch Susan! See you next time!
The breakfast burrito was the bomb. Highly recommend it
Hometown favorite! I always visit the GT when I'm in the area.

This is not the first time this help has been offered to me either! Please don't underestimate this small Boyne City branch - its great products, wonderful staff... read more
