First time here. I rate heavy on food for my overall star rating although service and atmosphere is important. Sausage burrito. Great size, side potatoes roasted and excellent but it had potatoes in the burrito like a space filler. Not much sausage and egg texture was funny. Will definitely try another dish when we come back.
My fiancé and I were there July 9th before taking our ferry trip. We just wanted something light since we planned to eat dinner in Cape May. So I got the spinach and artichoke dip with tortilla chips. From the start it didn't look good but thought I'd try it. So disappointed that is didn't taste really good either. I gotta say - this place is highly under-rated. New ownership as of a year or so ago and you just can feel the difference. Great beers on tap, a really nice menu that has something for everyone and right on the water? It really is great. Rocking The Docks shows aren't too bad either! Came here on a show night and was just an awesome vibe.
The place couldn’t accommodate close to 40 people. If your party is bigger than 10, you will be asked to sit towards the playground on the other side of the bar. Food must be ordered at the bar if your party is bigger than 10 people. Staff struggled to place food orders, missed food items when food had been paid for. Food was subpar. Stopped by Grain on the Rocks while waiting for the ferry, and it turned out to be a great choice! The outdoor patio was the perfect place to relax and enjoy the waterfront atmosphere. The highlight of our meal was definitely the giant soft pretzel—warm, soft, fresh, and served with delicious beer cheese and mustard for dipping. It was easily one of the best pretzels we’ve had.
