As someone who has traveled the world and holds residences in 2 states, one being a large metropolitan area and one being Hickory, I can confidently say that I have been to some of the best spas out there. I can also confidently say that this one is a hidden gem in a small town that ranks way up there for me as one of my favorites. I have been going to this Spa for about 5 years now. As a body builder waxing, facials, back facials and massages are necessities. I have had full body waxing (back, chest, arms, legs, face etc) from Chasity and a Manzilian (i think this is what they call it) & nose and ear waxing from Whitney. They are both excellent. I booked a spa day for the women of our church and I must say that the staff at Grafin Blau went above and beyond to accommodate all of our needs. Received a wonderful pedicure here from Chasity and an equally amazing haircut from Sharon. Both were very professional and talented. Sharon had a lot of experience in working with thick, curly hair such as mine and Chasity gave me what they call a seasonal pedicure. From what I understand they change the scent of their seasonal services monthly. March was pistachio coconut which was heavenly. I highly recommend this Spa as it is very clean and they offer a large selection of services.
I found this Spa on Groupon where they had over 200 rave reviews and almost 100 rave reviews on Facebook so I decided to give them a try even though their Yelp & Google reviews were less than favorable. Im glad I did because I had an amazing experience. This is a large "shabby chic" style Spa that you would find in a big city. It is really a shame that people can post bogus reviews here that the spa cannot reply to. Some of these are obviously one-sided & embellished or fake accounts of what truly happened. Please look on Facebook, where you cannot post reviews anonymously. Gräfin Blau Spa has over 70 amazing 5 star reviews there! Very Poor Couples Visit in Sept 2014 It took us over a month to get a booking. When we called, we were told the schedule wasnt made more than a week or two ahead, and all their slots were full for what was scheduled. So we couldnt even book out ahead. When I called the following week to see if there was room in the new schedule, it wasnt ready. HORRIBLE!!!! After waiting several weeks to be able to get an appointment when we arrived we were told staff was not available to complete the services we had booked. The manicure and pedicure turned out fine. The massage was very uncomfortable because of the therapist. The owner was unhelpful and unprofessional. Will not return and would not recommend
