Since Gradisca began in the fall of 2000, they've ensured that each meal that leaves their kitchen has embodied the spirit of authentic Italian cooking. They were motivated to name the restaurant "Gradisca" after the convivial character in the Fellini movie Amarcord. This wonderful character embodies all that is good in life, and they live by this attitude at Gradisca. All the pastas are made on site, and only the freshest ingredients are used. Gradisca expansive wine list, with over 150 wines, shares the same essential goal... read more

MY GOODNESS, WHAT A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE! – By far the best Italian restaurant I've come across! I had dinner with a friend at Gradisca last night. The service was outstanding. The wait staff was very professional and attentive and our server could not do enough for us. The restaurant looked cozy and warm and thought it is a great place to meet with friends or bring a date. We shared the
Great place for large parties – Invited for birthday celebration this past weekend to this spot in the west village. First time there but not the last. Hung out at the bar till everybody else arrived (20 invited). The pomegranite martini is amazing. Really nice flavor & strong. When we were ready (& too many for the bar) we were seated in the back room. Nice & loud crowd already there. The food..the food...the food..WOW..Italian done right. We got a whole bunch of stuff to share & taste. The appetizers were yummy. My fav was... read more
this is "italian" ? you will leave hungry and disatisfied – very disapointed with gradisca. the portions are extremely small and overpriced. the menu is very limited and the tables/seats are uncomfortable. don't waste your time .
Perfection – I've honestly been very reluctant to write a review on my favorite restaurant in manhattan, but i'm feeling generous :) Gradisca is perfection. Simple as that. The restaurant's owner flies in his mother from Italy once a month and she makes fresh pasta by the entranceway of the restaurant. Definitely try and get a reservation when she is in town and go for one of the pasta specials! My favorite pasta on the menu is the Maltagliati - "badly cut" egg noodles in a truffle cream sauce. I get this every time I'm ther... read more
Wonderful Food, Romantic Environment – I go to this restaurant every couple of months. The food is authentic and delicious, the waiters are friendly and charming and the mood is relaxed and romantic. The location is really great - this is one of the nicest streets in the West Village. I like to visit this restaurant in the warmer months so that I can eat outside on the patio. This place is high end, yet low key and casual. It is a great place to bring a date, your friends, or even your grandmother. It really is a hidden gem.... read more
New York Italian Food Great food, service, and eating environment. Highly recommended by our 2nd generation Italian family. The Carbonera is delicious. Other great dishes include seafood, pasta, salad, and of course some wine!
