We are visiting the island from Boynton Beach location. Since the weather is pretty gnarly we decided to be more productive and do some training. We are glad we did! My 5 yr old and my husband both joined in for a class and they had a blast! The professor and coaches are very welcoming, professional and knowledgeable. Gracie Barra Waipahu has a really welcoming and positive environment. The coaches are supportive and take the time to help you improve, and the teammates are always willing to help and encourage each other. It’s a great place to learn, grow, and feel comfortable no matter your experience level.
Joining GB -Waipahu is like joining a family. From day one we were welcomed and encouraged. First it started with the kids taking classes now the whole family does! Cannot say enough great things about the gym and staff.
I love this gym led by Professor Ray Cruz! The coaches are super attentive to each student of all ages, giving very detailed explanations and demonstrations of the most minute techniques to excel your progress. I recently competed with them in a tournament and the support was overwhelmingly positive from start to finish. There is a strong sense of community in this gym, a great place for you and your family to begin or expand your jiu jitsu journey with.
Ray, Linda and Brayden have built a wonderful place for people to gather and become one big ohana. I can see their passion for bringing families together to learn the art of jiu jitsu. The 3 of them all play key roles in making the school successful. Ray is the patriarch that is the joyful leader. Linda is the steady influence that keeps the gym running smoothly and Brayden is the dynamic young gun leading the technical charge.
