We've been taking our son to Gracie Barra Vail for a few months now and have nothing but positive things to say. The staff is absolutely amazing and our son genuinely looks forward to each class.

Gracie Barra Vail is an outstanding place to train. The instruction is top notch! The entire staff is outstanding. Professor Angel's decades of professional instruction experience are obvious in his delivery of technique. I have been training here since they opened their doors. I have never been part of a more welcoming and transparent team. This is a family environment. Many of the adults who train here also have their children enrolled, I do! Beware of joining here. You can be nothing but nice to these people, your kid can never get in trouble and even be the one who helps demonstrate the techniques almost every class and the Professor will call him by his nickname even. But if you call them out for how they communicate with you in a disrespectful manner ONE TIME, instead of speaking with you like an adult, they will just send you a foot long text message cutting your 5 year old from the team. They didn’t even have the courage to do it eye to eye.

My 5-year-old son was part of this team for nine months. Our experience with the coaches was mixed. We genuinely appreciated how patient and kind the Professor was, and for a long time we allowed that to offset his wife's consistently off-putting behavior. She is extremely quick to harshly correct children for the smallest things, and we recently learned she feels equally entitled to admonish adults. Gracie Barra in Vail is a great place to start something new and to start changing your life for the better. Professor Angel and Coach Shelly have made me and my family feel like family and are amazing with my daughter (9 years old). They always make sure everything is safe for all ages and makes it easy to learn, even if you have messed up knees.
