Oh my God what else can I say about Cecilia and Mattheos and the team! My husband has been wanting to take part in physical training for a long time being that he's been fighting prediabetes for about 4 and a half years. And because of his size and the nature of self-defense in the past that he is encountered he wanted to learn how to ground and pound. Well he got what he wanted he got his butt kicked on the mats by everybody on his first day and sprained his ankle! 😀😩 But guess what he is very happy he's got two months fo... read more

I’ve been to several Jiu Jitsu schools, and this one is ran very well. The gym is clean, the class structure is very intentional and well put together. They were receptive to me reaching out on social media to schedule a visit from Denver. Professor Rodrigo was very welcoming and kind. I will 100% be back next time I’m in the area!

As an Orlando Sanchez brown belt now training at Gracie Barra in Northridge, California, I must admit, this school is so very awesome! Very nice, welcoming but tough people training here! They got all levels from beginners to advance here! The Nogi classes are great too, I was lucky to do both the same day! Everyone introduced themselves to me and they were very polite and asked me where I was visiting from and welcomed me with open arms here. Everyone is welcomed to train here! If you wanna break a sweat, or looking for a c... read more

Just got back from my first class at Gracie Barra, and let me tell you, I was really anxious going in. But as soon as I walked through the doors, I was greeted by Abe, who was one of the most humble people I’ve met. Everyone there was incredibly friendly, and I truly felt a sense of camaraderie that I haven’t experienced since leaving the Army. I usually don’t leave reviews, but trust me—if I can force myself to go, you can too, and you’ll be welcomed with open arms.

My son is 9 years old and has been coming to Gracie Barra for almost 2 months. At first he was a bit timid but now he has confidence in what he is learning and looks forward to class every time we come. Professor Carlos is great with the kids and teaches in a way they understand. Every night we get home after class my son is on cloud 9 and can’t wait to roll around and practice what he learned. If I could do anything different it would only be that we started this journey sooner
