Straightforward and matter of fact are good characteristics for doctors... However there was no compassion or understanding of my situation or emotional shock at being confronted with a new serious diagnosis. She even mistook my nervous laughter as not taking the situation seriously. I was literally scared out of my mind with the results and diagnosis which was confirmed. I made an appointment as a new patient 2 months in advance. I filled out the paperwork electronically a few days before my appointment. The day before my appointment (not a full 24 hrs) the office calls me to let me know that there was a scheduling conflict. Doctor only see's one new patient a day, I could be scheduled with a LNP or I could wait another 2 months to be seen by the doctor. I asked to be removed from the schedule all together.
