If you are looking to send your grandmother here or grandfather I do not recommend the food they feed their patients Looks like dog food and is always cold. The people they hire have no experience besides a level two background check and a online CPR card. None of them are aware of cross contamination, which happens very often. Patients are not showered every day as they should be all around. This is a very dirty facility and a bunch a cross-contamination going on and uneducated people working there. I moved my mother into Grace Manor at Lake Morton about five months ago from another well known assisted living center in Lakeland. I was concerned at first that the facility was small and her living quarters would be smaller as well. I am so pleased to tell you that it has been exactly what mom needed! Looking back I believe that mom was overwhelmed by the large spaces and numerous choices. Having dementia and needing to make so many choices for herself was proving to be a huge daily challenge. This place has the worst wellness director I’ve ever met and I’ve been in nursing for 15 years. She is on a power trip as a nurse assistant. She is rude, and they treat the residents horrible. I even heard an staff member call one stupid
They're OK at taking care of my mom. The activities are fun. Some of the rooms have window unit air conditioners that are loud in the rooms. My mom didn't like that and would unplug her air conditioner, which caused her room to get very hot. I tried to solve this problem with the staff for 2 years, but nothing was done, so I finally had them move her to a different room. They kept saying they'd put something over the plug so she couldn't unplug her air conditioner, but this never happened. She doesn't tell anyone except me w... read more
