I know so many bad stories about this hospital (unnecessary deaths, transfers to get rescued care, over-treating, under-treating, misdiagnoses) that when I had an emergency I had a friend drive me to Hickory just to avoid Grace. It's a shame. My father was on the board many years ago and it was a great community hospital then. It has become something else, with sub-standard care. Grace Hospital actually scares me.
