I screwed up the zipper of my favorite hoodie. I really wanted to maintain the original look of the hoodie by replacing the zipper with one of the exact same size. The man who answered the phone was courteous, empathetic and helpful. He encouraged me to come in for a closer inspection. Thankfully I did. They had the exact same size zipper and not only did they maintain the look of the original garment, they did it in two days. (Another cleaner offered to do it but with a different style zipper.) Just showed up to Grace to drop off 6 shirts to be laundered. I’ve been a beyond loyal customer for well over 5 years and I drop off my shirts weekly, but today will be my last day ever. There was a new person at the desk. When I asked for my shirts to be laundered (as they always were), he pointed to one and said that it had to be dry cleaned. My sweater disappeared at this place. They closed during the pandemic and I didn’t even know that they opened back up. When I realized they were opened again, I went to take out my favorite sweater that my mom bought for me but they didn’t even have record of the drop off.
