I was in Griffin Hospital for a bleeding bladder for three days and was scheduled for a cystoscopy to find out why. Doc Biggs came in to see me and said that "its because you have enlarged prostrate" ... Amazing the "know it all" ..Really so don't 90% of the men my age. I went for what I thought was rectocele and she diagnosed me with pelvic prolapse and cystocele. Said I needed surgery. She didn’t look at my defecography results with me. If she did, she would have seen that she was wrong. I got a second opinion and that doctor measured me and looked at my X-rays with me. Went over everything and took time. She was gentle and kind. I had a great experience with Dr. Biggs and her whole office staff in Hamden. Everyone was wonderful. My visit did not feel rushed and I appreciated having time to address all my concerns. I would highly recommend Dr. Biggs, she was thorough, educational and kind.
Had a very bad experience. Dr. Biggs showed up over an hour late for a bulkamid procedure. Because she was late she rushed through the procedure, not waiting long enough for the numbing agent to work. I experienced extreme pain, causing my blood pressure to spike. I was admitted to the ER for an EKG and blood work. Never got a call back to check on my condition.
