3 transmissions later still having problems. Blames the truck or tuner or ecm. Never had a problem till he did the trans. Took the tuner out still having problems. Took it to a shop to check ecm and wiring found no problems. Now he doesn't want to warranty it because he is already out from the last rebuild. Them to top it off they put a big dent in my bumper but blame it want them when the truck went stright from the body shop to them and I have the pictures proving it had no dents. Waited 1,000 miles to post this. I bought a Ford Excursion 10 cyl with just under 200K on it. The trans was slipping, and on its last leg, I found Dave on a 4R100 FB page and liked what he was posting. I live over 1 hour away from Grabbing Gears, but the price I paid for the extra clutch disks and steel planetary gear upgrade it made it worth it...I was going to do the R&R myself but the price I was quoted was so good I just had them do it. They do good work for a good price. They even switched out my cvt transmission.
Just got off the phone with the owner we had a transmission rebuilt by him and started to act funny and he said to bring it in and he'll get it fixed as it's still under warranty very nice and easy no hassle at all. Definitely recommend this place to anyone with transmission needs!!
You don't meet that many upstanding guys in today's world Dave went beyond and above to take care of my problem I have a GMC Sierra with an 8-speed transmission which are junk I have a very nice 8-speed now he come all the way to Portage Michigan to pick my truck up took it to a shop I wish I had known about Dave the first time I had the transmission rebuilt I would definitely recommend Dave if you have a transmission problem
