Best fish and chips I've had in ages. Tasty and filling. Good portions. Reasonably priced. Location is central and easy to access. Unbeatable service. Owner(?) is a great guy too.
The last twice I have been there, the frying has been below standard. On the last occasion, the batter was soggy and sloughed off the fish, and the chips were overcooked.
The chips where hard we flung 2 boxes away. The fish had lots of bones and my haggis was mushy and soft. The batter was like rubber. Waste of �28 pounds
