Dr. Goudreau and his team have been excellent in my preop, op, and postop care. His attention to detail, experience, and bedside manner make him my number one choice for joint replacement. Dr. Goudreau puts up with my "crazy"& listens to me. He calms me down, he's sensible, he loves Nikes, has awesome energy & does car chats! Shelby Eleanor original! I broke my tibia/fibula in 3 places in 2010. Dr.Goudreau did my surgery, it took twice as long as he said it would, and I ended up having to stay overnight in the hospital. This was due to his lack of skill. My recovery was long and painful. I have a rod and 6pins in my leg. When my body wasn’t healing, Dr. Goudreau accused me of smoking. (I am not a smoker.) Dr Goudreau saved my life almost 10 years ago when I was run over by someone, I was one millimeter away from hitting a major artery and bleeding out in 3-5 minutes. It was a night I can’t fully piece together because of how traumatic it was but that’s the funny thing about life. You don’t always remember what happened but you remember how it made you feel. He was 30 minutes late to my appointment. When he came in he explained that he is the kind of doctor who likes to give patients personal attention, which is why his appointments often run late. Sounded good, sounded like a doctor who cares. But he apparently decided to waive this policy in my case. As I was describing part of my hip problem he cut me off and crudely --referencing a crane and some other industrial equipment-- explained I was wrong.
