I've used Gottschalk Excavating for a handful of projects over the past 10 years. The owner is very responsive and returns calls/texts promptly. The work performed is professional and high quality. The pricing is fair. I would hire them again. They don't seem to mind whether the job is big or small. I highly recommend them.
I work for a municipality and we have contracted Gottschalk Excavating many times in the past. From water lateral excavations to storm sewer ditchs, Darrick has always done a good job for us, and he's been polite and professional. I would recommend him for a variety of excavating tasks.
We called Gottschalk excavating when we decided to build our shop and I don't for a single second regret our decision. Throughout the whole process things didn't go as we had planned and Darrick was always willing to work around the chaos. The location of our shop started off as a wooded hillside. We now have a large yard, level loading areas around our shop and a driveway wide enough for anything we need to get in and out. Darrick was amazing fixing our sunken driveway and repairing a collapsing boulder wall. He was responsive and the work he did was top notch. We couldn't get any of the "big" concrete companies to come out to even bid our work as it was too "small" for them. Darrick also saved us money by telling us that replacing our entire driveway would be a waste of money because some of the concrete was just fine the way it is.
