The doctor is nice however they need to modernize. They don’t use email addresses to send blood work, only fax. So if you don’t have a fax machine you literally have to drop it off. Also, you could have thyroid blood markers, but he’ll deem them not high enough and it prescribe you medication so you live with the symptoms.
Dr Gottesman is great. This review is for his staff. The receptionist is very rude and does not let you finish what you are trying to tell her. She can't wait to put you on hold and/or end the call. I have been trying to get a hold of someone for the last 2 weeks... either you get a busy tone or you leave a message and no one gets back to you. Dr Gottesman, please change your front desk staff.
Dr G. is a wonderful person. This review is strictly about his new staff who is severely incompetent. Since Mel retired (she was exceptional), her replacement is rude, untruthful and uncaring. I called to have a Px refill, gave her all the info including Px #, pharmacy contact, etc. A week later I called back because there was no notice from the Pharmacy. Despite the curt experiences in the appointments for several years leading up to my thyroidectomy, Gottesman is not a sustainable long-term care provider. He may have been brilliant in his younger days, and I appreciate the journey getting to where I am, but his final years of practicing shows impatience, lack of follow-up, and unmotivated.
