Great experience with their service for drywall repair and painting. Always good communication and the one time there was an issue which was due to material quality which I supplied, Ivan rectified it without qualms.
I hired Ivan to build a new outdoor deck and am extremely pleased with the outcome. Despite material shortages, he was successfully able to finish the project on time. I admire his professionalism and detailed- oriented approach towards constructing the deck efficiently. I would without a doubt rehire him for possible projects in the future.
I had extensive work done on my townhouse (roof, stucco, brickwork, floor installation, etc). Ivan, at Gotham City Builders, was extremely thorough, forthcoming, and attentive during the entire project. He put a lot of effort diagnosing the problems and walking me through his thinking and plans for fixing the issues. His workers, Calvin and Jose, were very friendly, hard working, skillful and accommodating. The project was finished on time and it looks fantastic.
We got off to good start and Ivan installed a decent wood floor and baseboard. However he suddenly lost interest in the remaining work and abandoned my project mid-stream with no viable excuse, no warning of intent and deceptive answers. The sanding/ painting work was B grade quality and instructions weren't followed. The delay caused a loss of at least 2 months investment income and ultimately I had to find someone else to complete the work. Ivan never apologized. Do not hire Gotham City Builders / Ivan Lopez. Horrible experience. Lied to us consistently, stretched an 8 week minor renovation into 8 months, was only responsive when he wanted more money, and Ivan still hasn't delivered over $20,000 of materials and labor that we paid for. Nightmare working with him.
