Great atmosphere This bookstore has a great variety of books. I actually first went here because it was recommended by a professor and am happy I found a bookstore with such great customer service. The atmosphere is good to take your time and look through various books that are of interest to you without feeling pressured to hurry up.
Gotham Book Mart Great Booksellers The Gotham Book Mart has moved from its Diamond District headquarters into a new space. This new store is a lovely space not the aging mass that was the old store. Of course the old store had a certain charm that the new location sorely lacks. The upstairs Gorey Museum/Store is gone but they still have a nice selection of Edward Gorey's books. Still one of the best independent book sellers in New York.
