This dojo earns five stars in every possible way. My son began going there years ago simply as a little boy who was curious about learning the martial arts. From the first day, he was treated as a member of the Goshinkan family, and his discipline and skill have grown by leaps and bounds ever since. My children attended Goshinkan dojo more than 40 years ago. My grandchildren now have been blessed with the opportunity to grow and flourish under Jeff Lovering’s brilliant mentoring. Self-confidence, discipline and cooperation are reinforced at each session. Watching the children support each other is a joy to watch. Best gift you can give your kids!
My son has been a part of Goshinkan Dojo for over 5 years now. All of the instructors have been incredibly supportive and encouraging. My son has mastered new skills and continues to grow and looks forward to the classes every week. If you are looking for a place where your child will build confidence and learn defensive strategies, this is definitely the place to go.
My daughter did karate at Goshinko during the summer at her camp so we decided to sign her up for classes this fall. She absolutely loved it. The teachers know how to work with 4 year olds which is no easy feat. I highly recommend this place!
I studied with Jeff many years ago; and although retired, I have taken with me the confidence and ability to know my way out of a threatening situation. As a woman it is extremely important. My daughter also studied at Goshinkan and I was impressed with the patient and kind way she was taught to defend herself and to never be a bully. I highly recommend Goshinkan for both adults and children. They are a family.
