This dojo earns five stars in every possible way. My son began going there years ago simply as a little boy who was curious about learning the martial arts. My children attended Goshinkan dojo more than 40 years ago. My grandchildren now have been blessed with the opportunity to grow and flourish under Jeff Lovering’s brilliant mentoring. Self-confidence, discipline and cooperation are reinforced at each session. Watching the children support each other is a joy to watch. Best gift you can give your kids!
I started at Goshinkan when I was 5 through adulthood. I knew it was a special place but now having moved away and taking my own kids to other dojos I understand how special it truly is, for the most fun class to learn jujitsu but just as important for teaching me discipline, focus, confidence and commitment. I wouldn’t be the person I am today without the Goshinkan family. Every kid (and teen and adult) that goes through Goshinkan comes out better for it!
My son has been a part of Goshinkan Dojo for over 5 years now. All of the instructors have been incredibly supportive and encouraging. My son has mastered new skills and continues to grow and looks forward to the classes every week. If you are looking for a place where your child will build confidence and learn defensive strategies, this is definitely the place to go.
I studied with Jeff many years ago; and although retired, I have taken with me the confidence and ability to know my way out of a threatening situation. As a woman it is extremely important. My daughter also studied at Goshinkan and I was impressed with the patient and kind way she was taught to defend herself and to never be a bully. I highly recommend Goshinkan for both adults and children. They are a family.
