We were looking for a small lake in Massachusetts to kick back and relax and we surely found it in Goshen. Dina and Bob are wonderful hosts, so friendly and accommodating. They surely do treat you like family. The location is perfect, removed from the "worries of the world", yet close enough to Northampton for restaurants, stores and entertainment (if desired). Beautiful grounds and gorgeous lake for swimming, kayaking and paddle boarding! Dina and Bob could not be more gracious and welcoming as hosts! Already looking forward to another visit to the lake next year!
This was our second stay at Goshen Ocean and it was even more delightful than the first. Our hosts Dina and Bob couldn't be more generous and accommodating, and the property itself can only be described as a little slice of heaven. We swam, kayaked, grilled every night, played with our dog (yes, they are extremely dog friendly) and just relaxed by the lake and in our cozy cottage. Lake is incredible and this spot is a hidden gem! We loved our month-long stay at Dina’s White Cottage - she really goes above and beyond to make you feel at home. You can kayak, SUP, swim, lounge, hike, and enjoy some of the best star gazing in the country. The DAR Forest is less than a mile away, with dozens of trails (look for red-spotted newts and more mushrooms than you’ve ever seen in your life!). We spent our second wonderful summer week in the Green Cottage. Enjoyed the community floating event on the lake, the trampoline raft, the lawn games/playground, and the local pets. Local ice cream and trips to Northampton and Springfield rounded out some cloudier days. Miss it already -- we can't wait to go back in 2024!
