Goshen was patient through all of that. No pressure, no “you have to decide now” energy. Just clear answers, realistic expectations, and a good price. The process wasn’t instant, permits took us a longer time because of the hurricanes. But they always responded and kept us in the loop. We always knew what was happening and what was next, which kept me from stressing out about it. Not gonna lie, the idea of building an ADU stressed me out way more than I expected. Everyone makes it sound simple, and then you actually look into Tampa permits and it’s like… yeah, no. We almost didn’t do it. Ended up talking to Goshen after a neighbor mentioned them. First convo was surprisingly normal. No hype. Just “here’s what the city allows, here’s what takes forever.” Some parts definitely moved slowly (permits are a nightmare, obviously), but at least nothing felt sketchy. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE! Unfortunately, my experience with Goshen Tiny Homes has resulted in me having to retain an attorney and pursue a legal dispute over more than $15,000 I paid toward an ADU that was never built. I signed my contract with Goshen Tiny Homes on October 27, 2025, specifically for the design and construction of a 670-square-foot ADU at my Tampa property. We contracted for an ADU 18 months ago and are still waiting. Languished in permitting until we called because they didn’t. We’ve made multiple requests for at least communication believing we had been scammed. After we got the permit we were scammed for an additional $20,000 over the guaranteed price or they would not do construction. That’s a month behind in the first month. I’m not comfortable that a lot of corners won’t be cut and materials will be cheaper. I don’t feel any interest in my project at all after the sale.
