What an absolute gem of a place! Great location, quality service, and cozy, comfortable rooms. Parking was super easy. Delicious breakfast in the morning. Lots of great shops and restaurants nearby. THIS is the place to stay on your trip near Monterey!

We had a wonderful stay at the Gosby House Inn in Monterey. The staff was so nice and welcoming. We arrived at around 4 PM, just in time for the complimentary wine & cheese hours! Don't skip this - it was wonderful! The room was beautiful, very clean, and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and freshly prepared. The whole place has a warm and welcoming atmosphere – highly recommend!

Stayed there many years. This time was a not good experience. We stayed in the carriage room and we had a balcony. My wife leaned into each other to have a romantic kiss and the railing gave way and we could've fallen to the street crushing our heads. I had to pull my love one away from falling. There was no reaction from the staff and all they said was they would send a maintenance person to fix it. All he did was put a screw in there. This place is too old and the upkeep is not being up graded . No competition was even off... read more

Excellent location. Within very short walking distance to a couple of great restaurants (Fandango and La Mia Cucina Ristorante). Cozy rooms. We often try to get the room with it's own outside/street entrance and porch with a swing, but had a second floor room with a small balcony this last time. It was really nice. Breakfast was great each morning and they offer wine, cheese, and cookies from 4-6pm. I hope I got those times right. Very nice place to stay.
