Having been camping at Dolly Copp for almost 50 years, it is tradition to make several visits to Gorham Hardware. Several years ago I purchased a huge 20" pan from Roland that has given my family years of enjoyment cooking over the fire! I will never forget how Roland always remembered our names on every visit, and Mike carries on the tradition of making us feel like old friends at each visit. Truly an awesome special place!
We were delighted to find this gem of the north country open at 8AM. I was able to buy a WMNF annual parking pass and my buddy got a great pair of Merrill's (since he FORGOT his hiking shoes in MA) that easily got him up and down Mt. Adams. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable. When you're in the region, I highly recommend you find an excuse to visit.
